About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of Design to lead the strategic and operational aspects of design within the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and communicating a clear design vision that is deeply rooted in clinical-first principles and the realities of primary care. This role involves leading a talented team of product designers and design partners, shaping an AI-native design organization, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, coherent, and impactful product experiences. The Head of Design will also be instrumental in building a high-performing design function, fostering a culture of user research, and partnering with cross-functional teams to translate company strategy into a focused product experience roadmap. Applicants for the Head of Design position at the company should have significant experience in leading product design, particularly in complex, multi-surface, or highly regulated environments. A background in healthcare, health technology, enterprise SaaS, or similar domains where trust and workflow quality are paramount is highly valued. The role requires a leader with a proven track record in building and scaling design organizations, strong product judgment, and the ability to influence design decisions in collaboration with product and engineering leaders. Deep fluency across the UX stack, a strong point of view on design quality, and a commitment to customer-centered, evidence-informed decision-making are essential. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent communication and storytelling skills, and the ability to operate in ambiguity while making thoughtful, informed decisions.
