First (Days) Overview: Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center, located in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring for a Registered Nurse for Short Stay ICU Generous Sign-On Bonus for Qualified Candidates! Hours/Shift:
Day Department/Position Overview:
• Short Stay ICU (SSI) is a 4-6 bed short stay ICU who partners with the Vascular and Interventional Center and Main OR to care for lower acuity ICU patients spending less than 23 hours in the ICU prior to discharging home or transitioning to the next level of care.
•Nurses in this unit will be cross trained to care for interventional radiology, neuro, and vascular procedures and OR patients. Unit Hours from 11am Monday through 3pm Saturday. As a Registered Nurse with Sentara, you can excel in your career. There are many different specialties where you can perform and grow your nursing skills in areas of interest to you. If you desire, there are promotional opportunities into leadership or to advance your level of care in a variety of settings. This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients.
