The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing critical care during the initial assessment and treatment of trauma patients.Unit Specifics\n \n Number of Beds: 2 trauma bays in the Emergency Department\n Patient Ratios: To be determined\n Type of Equipment: Level 1 rapid infuser, HOT LINE, EKG, GE care scape (ultrasound), Hamilton vent, CAT tourniquet, Alaris IV pump\n Documentation System: Meditech\n Qualifications\n \n Current TNCC certification is required\n ENPC certification is preferred\n ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required\n Skills and Responsibilities\n \n Ability to run mass transfusions through a Level 1 rapid infuser\n Assisting in the Operating Room as needed\n Strong background in IV insertion and management\n Performing emergency procedures including IV placement, spinal stabilization, splinting, assisting with chest tube procedures, traction, and central/arterial line placement\n Demonstrating rapid critical thinking skills in emergency situations\n Scheduling and Work Environment\n \n Shift: Night shifts with weekends required\n Flexible scheduling options available\n Work within a collaborative team focused on Trauma care\n Dress Code\n Staff is required to wear red and black scrubs, specifically a red top and black bottom.Awards and Recognition\n Our team has received numerous awards for exemplary care and efficiency in trauma settings.
