Senior Coordinator, Environmental, Health & Safety - Onsite

Pay Rate: $28.62/hr.

Job Description:

* Assist in implementing and monitoring company

environmental safety programs and policies to

ensure compliance with federal, state, and local

environmental, health, and safety regulations.

- Maintains safety equipment inventory, performs periodic safety inspections, monitors hazardous waste removal vendors, and may assist in consolidating hazardous wastes (chemical, radioactive, and/or medical).

- Interacting with a variety of departments, conducts training in emergency response and hazardous material handling.

- Monitors environmental compliance and maintains liaison with appropriate regulatory agencies.

- Recommends corrective action where environmental health and safety hazards exist.

- Interacts with others in the administration of the worker's compensation program and the implementation of workplace ergonomics and program solutions.

- Monitors industrial health compliance This position requires knowledge that is acquired through experience, specialized education, or training.

The role has clearly defined procedures and tasks as well as defined guidelines to aid in decision making. The job should possess a good knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the range of processes, procedures and systems to be used in carrying out assigned tasks and a basic understanding of the underlying concepts & principles upon which the job is based. The knowledge can be acquired through a combination of job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience. The job works within well-defined procedures that may involve a variety of work routines. This job typically requires a minimum of 3 or more years' experience.

Shift: 1st - M-F 8:00am - 4:30pm Occasional weekend or overtime, as required.

1. Prior experience identifying risk, preventing

injuries and illness, and ensuring compliance

with safety and environmental regulations

2. Communication and training experience

Education: Bachelor's degree OR Associates degree + 3 years exp.

OSHA training credentials

Experience in risk management, global EHS programs, laboratory safety, operations, construction safety preferred.
