Medical Records Coordinator

Job Summary:
Laramie Health and Rehabilitation is currently seeking an outstanding Medical Records Coordinator to upload and gather medical records information using the the facility's Electronic Health Records System.
Essential Functions:
Confirms medical record information is protected and kept confidential.
Verifies that health record information is filed accurately and appropriately to resident’s charts, overflow records, and discharge records.
Identifies incomplete documentation (audits) and reports to individuals responsible for completion.
Mails documents to Center physicians as required for appropriate signatures and timely notification.
Manages time-frames for returned signed documentation.
Maintains bound Master Admission & Discharge Register for admissions and discharges to and from the Center.
Verifies information on master resident face sheet is completed.
Verifies Medicare residents have timely certifications/re-certifications signed by the attending physician.
Education, Licensure, And Experience:
Require: High school graduate or equivalent.
Preferred: Experience with Point Click Care software
Preferred: One-year experience as a medical records practitioner in a long-term care.
