Regional Interior Design Assistant

This position supports the Manager of Interior Design and Interior Designers in developing and implementing model homes, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and maintaining high detail orientation and professionalism. Responsibilities Assist Interior Designers with all aspects of project execution, including conceptual design, space planning, material selection, and procurement. Assist with CAD drafting and space planning tasks under the guidance of senior designers and/or managers. Maintain material library, organizing samples, catalogs, and resources for easy access and reference by the design team. Communicate with vendors on custom order quotes and lead times and assist designers with sourcing and procurement efforts as needed. Prepare and maintain project documentation including purchase orders, meeting notes and agendas, presentations, and follow‑up materials. Attend model installations as necessary. Qualifications / Toolbox Bachelor of Arts degree preferred. 1–3 years interior design or related experience. Proficient in CAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint on a Macintosh platform. Strong organizational skills, detail oriented and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude. Excellent work ethic, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Excellent under pressure and can accept constructive feedback. California Motor Vehicle License – unrestricted. Moderate regional travel (including overnight trips and flights) required. Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements This is a primarily sedentary office position that requires the incumbent to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move, and carry up to 25 lb. Finger dexterity is necessary. Compensation & Benefits Base hourly rate: $17.02 – $26.00 (subject to adjustment based on qualifications, geographic pay differentials, and operational considerations).
