They will contribute as a key member of the leadership team, and will be the group President’s business partner on development and implementation of the unit’s overall business strategy and initiatives to increase company revenues and profitability. As a key leader, the role will take a strategic view of the business, while looking for ways to improve the business results through financial and trend analysis, ensuring a focus on achieving profitable growth while optimizing JM’s competitive position. This individual will be a leader who puts programs, systems, and tools in place for continual improvement of the performance of the business, Finance function, and JM.Applicants can expect to make between $180,000 to $220,000 upon hire. In addition, this position is eligible for a target incentive bonus under our variable incentive plan, as well as to participate in our long-term incentive program. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors.Responsibilities:Drive financial performance throughout the organization by partnering with the business leaders for accountability/ownership of business decision financial impactsEstablish and drive success in achieving revenue, cost, income, working capital and cash flow objectivesProvide tools, resources, and financial leadership in assessing the financial viability of capital investments and new product developmentDevelop and manage processes, tools and discipline for month-end closing, monthly reporting and financial forecastsMaintain an effective internal control environment throughout the businessDevelop and implement processes to proactively identify gaps in performance and drive closure actionsLead Annual Operating Plan process including process improvementsSupport commercial operations including rebates, pricing, contracts, and incentive compensation programsManage a remote team that supports plant operations and drives cost side performanceParticipate on CFO leadership team driving key JM Finance initiativesTake the lead in financial aspects of identifying, consummating, and integrating business acquisition or divestiture opportunitiesEnsure appropriate financial controls are in place throughout the organization (GAAP, Johns Manville policy, etc.)Manage talent to ensure individual, team and business unit results are achievedActively develop individuals for future leadership roles within the organizationBuild and manage a highly skilled and high performing team including stewardship of employee development programsDrive development and execution of Annual Operating Plan and business/functional Strategic PlanActive member of the (Business/Functional Leadership Team) and JM Extended Leadership TeamIs a net promoter of talent within and outside JM—cultivator of talent—networking—work to make JM an employer of choiceChampion enterprise wide initiatives and projectsActive involvement in JM events both internal and externalBuilds collaborative relationships with JM employees, customers, and suppliersModels the JM core values; Passion, People, Perform, Protect, in all decisions, actions and interactionsHolds self and others accountable to the JM Leadership AttributesOther priorities as assignedQualifications:15 years of progressive financial/business experience with a large multi-site organization, manufacturing preferredBachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, Masters degree preferredFinancial leadership in a major subsidiary with dual reporting relationshipsAbility to function as an effective business partnerDemonstrated ability to recognize and act on areas/processes in need of improvementExperience with managing remote employeesAbility to present to senior executivesDemonstrated success in attracting, developing and building high performing business teams including the ability to assess and develop talent and effectively provide feedbackDemonstrated knack in the following JM leadership attributes:Genuine, Passionate, Opportunity Maker, Positive Attitude, Open Minded and IntegrityBusiness acumenEnterprise mindsetAbility to influence senior and c-suite leadersAdditional Requirements:Willing to travel approximately 15-20%#LI-DNIPlease Keep in MindIf you do not meet 100% of these requirements, we at JM still want to hear from you.
