They are currently expanding their premium global dining division to support a major platform merger, requiring highly scalable, real-time infrastructure to handle high-volume traffic.They are looking for a Performance & Load Testing QA Engineer for a 100% hands-on, individual contributor role. You will ensure system stability during the integration of two major reservation platforms by designing complex load-test scenarios, analyzing latency percentiles, and tracking bottlenecks across APIs and event-driven architecture.MUST HAVE: Extensive hands-on experience with named load-testing tools (k6, JMeter, Gatling, or Locust).Strong background in testing and event/WebSocket traffic.Proven ability to perform deep performance analysis (latency percentiles, error rates, throughput).Demonstrated evidence of tracing bottlenecks and building scale-scenarios.Commitment to working entirely as a hands-on individual contributor.Design and execute comprehensive load and performance test scenarios.Analyze complex system metrics to identify throughput limits and latency percentiles.Trace and isolate infrastructure and application bottlenecks.Partner with engineering teams to optimize performance for a large-scale platform merger.This is a long-term, ongoing contract offering a flexible pay rate based on your expertise. You will work on a hybrid schedule, joining the team in the New York City office 2 to 3 days a week.
