Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care across a 12-bed labor unit, 5-bed antepartum unit, and 2 ORs, supporting 150–200 births per month
• Care for a diverse patient population ranging from routine OB to high-risk obstetrics, including antepartum patients requiring extended stays prior to delivery
• Utilize the OB Trace fetal heart monitoring system and Meditech EMR to document and monitor patient status; Intermediate or above EFM proficiency required
• Participate in procedures performed on the unit including C-sections, cerclages, and tubals, in collaboration with OR techs who scrub and assist
• Float to postpartum as needed and rotate holidays with permanent staff
• Adhere to AWHONN staffing ratios and support a baby-friendly care environment with in-house lactation support

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required; no first-time travelers
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate or above EFM
• Must reside more than 72 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech EMR and OB Trace fetal heart monitoring systems
• Familiarity with high-risk OB patient populations and antepartum care
• Comfort working in a unit that performs C-sections, cerclages, and tubals
