Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dynamic and fully licensed mental health counselor to join our dedicated team within our school counseling center located in Carrolltown, Pennsylvania. This full-time position (40 hours per week) is primarily remote but provides a unique opportunity to engage directly with students on campus, contributing to their mental health and academic success. Your daily responsibilities will encompass a range of vital activities designed to support our students’ mental health:

  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to identify students' mental health needs, using established criteria to formulate appropriate treatment plans.

  • Provide immediate intervention for crisis situations, employing de-escalation techniques and tailoring individual counseling strategies to each case, whether it's acute stress or chronic mental health issues.

  • Lead therapy groups focused on specific student concerns, such as anxiety management, self-esteem enhancement, and academic pressure resilience.
  • \n
  • Work closely with faculty members to develop and implement outreach programs promoting mental wellness, such as workshops on stress management or mental health awareness campaigns.

  • Maintain meticulous and confidential records in compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements, utilizing our electronic health record (EHR) system effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary client base for this position consists of high school and college-aged students, ranging from 14 to 22 years. You will be addressing a wide variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and academic stressors. Understanding the unique dynamics faced by this demographic, including pressures stemming from social media and academic achievement, is critical to providing effective support.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • An active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • \n
  • A master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • \n
  • A thorough understanding of the challenges and mental health issues specifically faced by college students, along with practical strategies for intervention.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, the following experiences will enhance your candidacy:

  • Experience working within a school or university counseling center, particularly with diverse student populations.

  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

  • Proficient use of health record systems and an understanding of HIPAA regulations in practice.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. In addition, we provide:
