Job Description

The Physical Therapist implements patient rehabilitation programs to help improve patient mobility, function, and strength.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs.
• Utilize Electronic Medical Records to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries.
• Guide and monitor patient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-up.
• Supervise PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care.
• Communicate with physicians and other healthcare personnel to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient chart documentation and follow-up regarding prescriptions and test results.
• Assist patients in mobility and provide stand-by assistance during walking.
• Be involved in business marketing and referral processes when necessary.
• Follow HIPAA policies and procedures to protect patient privacy.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Active license as a Physical Therapist in the state of California or plan to test soon.
• Continuing Education courses preferred.
