Part-Time Lunch Assistant
St. John Paul II Catholic School (Preschool6th grade) seeks a friendly, organized Part-Time Lunch Assistant to join our team this fall, helping prepare healthy, appealing meals in a joyful, faith-filled environment. As part of the Sacred Heart Pastorate and Diocese of Sioux Falls, we are committed to Catholic liberal education.
Schedule: 9:0010:30/11:00 a.m., MondayFriday during the school year. $16/hour, DOE.
Responsibilities include assisting the Coordinator with meal preparation, lunchroom setup, and daily kitchen tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic food safety knowledge (or willingness to train)
- Ability to follow recipes and prepare food in quantity
- Strong organizational skills; able to work independently
- Joyful, positive attitude and love of working with children
- Active, practicing Catholic in good standing with the Roman Catholic Church
- Must pass a background check
This role requires continuous standing/walking in the kitchen, occasional lifting up to 25 pounds, and comfort with food odors and varying temperatures.
