TechnicianSkilled-level Technician able to perform diagnosis and repair in all areas, with specialized skills in particular areas of repair.Benefits and Perks:5 day work weekAir conditioned shopCompetitive compensationEmployee benefits package available after 90 days of continuous full-time work401k plus match available after 1 yearKey Responsibilities and Duties:Diagnoses the cause of any malfunction and performs authorized repairs.Performs work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.Obtains parts from the Parts department through effective communication and saves parts as required by either a warranty company or the customer.Examines assigned vehicles to determine if any safety or maintenance work is required or recommended.Communicates with service advisors if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, if any damage occurs to a customer vehicle, or if repairs cannot be completed in the given timeframe.Documents all work done and recommended on the repair order.Road tests vehicles when required.Participates in manufacturer training plus annual compliance training, as assigned.Understands and keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins, regulations related to hazardous waste disposal, OSHA requirements, etc…Operates all tools and equipment including vehicles, in a safe manner, reporting any machinery defects or malfunctions and safety issues to management.Supervises the work of other technicians, as assigned.Other duties as assigned by the Service Manager or General ManagerQualifications and Skills:Prior experience as a general service technician and/or equivalent education, with a demonstrated increase in independence and responsibility over timeASE Certification or manufacturer certification, strongly preferredValid driver’s license and acceptable driving recordAbility to perform the physical demands of the job including lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, kneeling, etc… in the work environment which may include heat, cold, or other conditions, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
