Job Overview

Requirement/Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent) with minimum 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, project execution, or equipment setup.
• Machining and machine operations.
• Electronic assembly or Battery-related manufacturing processes.
• Experience with production equipment installation, scheduling, and technical drawings.
• Experience working in large-scale organizations due to operational complexity.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in daily written and verbal reports up to Senior Manager level.
• Develop process plans for battery production lines within the Battery PE department with direct support from the Manager.
• Work in a collaborative team environment to achieve project milestones.
• Equipment procurement, installation planning to execution, commissioning, pre-production trials, and launch of battery production lines.
• Participate in advanced cleanliness protocols necessary for assigned area of battery manufacturing.
• Lead and/or support equipment trials at vendors prior to shipping and on the manufacturing floor after installation ensuring all targets are met for safety, quality and productivity.
• Punchlist item identification, root cause analysis, and countermeasure management.
• KPI summarization, mass-production handover, and production issues support.
• Cross-functional team engagement to discuss open items and key project schedules/milestones.
• Create and maintain detailed schedules for assigned areas.
• Maintain budgets for assigned areas.
• Complete internal and external training.

Nice to Have:

• Prior experience in automotive battery manufacturing.
• Exposure to PLC, SCADA, MES, or similar systems.
• Laser welding experience is considered an advantage.
• Proven machining experience is critical.

Skills:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Proficiency with 2D and 3D drafting software such as AutoCAD.
• Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings including building facilities and process equipment drawings.

Qualification And Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or similar technical field.
• 3+ years of equivalent professional experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in production preparation and execution of capital projects, preferably from initial strategy planning to the start of mass production.
• Project management experience dealing with capital investments greater than $0.5M.
• Ability for business travel, both domestic and international up to 10%.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and shutdown periods as needed, based on project condition and schedule.
