Technician
Under general supervision cleans, inspects, assembles, packages, disinfects, and sterilizes all surgical products used to support physicians and surgical teams. Documents and monitors all sterilization processes in assigned areas, including steam and high-level disinfectants. Ensures all monitoring methods are compliant with established standards. Supplies the needs of various departments by properly meeting and anticipating instrumentation needs for pending cases. Receives, unpacks, shelves supplies, and maintains appropriate stock levels while adhering to sterile supply management principles. Works with surgical specialty teams to ensure that supplies for each patient are available when needed. Proactively coordinates the preparation of case carts according to preference cards for supplies, equipment, instruments, and implants needed for each patient. Good communication and attendance are essential. Willingness to take directives and actively participate in training is expected.
