Job Details Location: Raleigh, NC Duration: 13 Weeks Schedule: Monday – Friday Pay Rate: $21-22/hour Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Phlebotomist for a 13-week temporary assignment with a leading healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in venipuncture, specimen collection, and patient interaction. This role is essential in supporting laboratory operations and ensuring high-quality patient care. Responsibilities Collect blood specimens via venipuncture and capillary punctures following proper procedures Properly label, store, and transport specimens to the laboratory in a timely manner Verify patient identity and ensure accuracy in specimen collection and documentation Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a sterile work environment Provide excellent patient care, ensuring comfort and addressing concerns during procedures Maintain accurate records of draws, patient interactions, and specimen tracking Assist in processing and handling laboratory specimens as needed Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and laboratory staff Ensure compliance with all regulatory and facility policies Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Certification in Phlebotomy (CPT, PBT-ASCP, or equivalent) preferred Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience in a clinical or hospital setting Strong venipuncture skills and ability to handle high patient volumes Excellent communication and patient care skills Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment It is the policy of Lighthouse Lab Services to provide equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, genetic information, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.
