Delivery Driver

Job Overview You must be 18 years of age with a valid driver's license, a safe driving record, and access to an insured vehicle for delivery. Navigational skills are required to read maps, locate addresses, and navigate adverse terrain including multi‑story buildings. General Job Duties Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler. Receive and process telephone orders. Take inventory and complete associated paperwork. Clean equipment and facility approximately daily. Training Orientation and training provided on the job. Communication skills: comprehension of written instructions and verbal communication with customers and co‑workers. Essential Functions/Skills Basic math: add, subtract, multiply, divide accurately and quickly (calculator may be used). Provide correct monetary change. Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders. Motor coordination for rapid, precise hand movements. Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen. Navigational skills to read maps and locate addresses within the designated delivery area. Navigate adverse terrain, including multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product. Work Conditions Adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing outside tasks. In‑store temperatures range 36°F to over 90°F with sudden changes. Exposure to food odors and cornmeal dust. Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler. Hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F or higher. Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts. Adverse weather when delivering product, driving, and couponing. Sensing Talking and hearing on the telephone; near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks. Depth perception. Ability to differentiate hot and cold surfaces. Far vision and night vision for driving. Temperaments The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions. Physical Requirements Standing: Most tasks performed while standing; walking surfaces include ceramic tile, bricks with linoleum. Walking: Short distances for short durations; delivery personnel travel between store and vehicle and to customers. Sitting: Paperwork completed at a desk or table. Lifting: Bulk deliveries up to 50 lbs; cases stacked onto shelves up to 72". Carrying: Items ranging from 3 lbs to 30 lbs; trays of pizza dough (~12 lbs each) carried during delivery. Pushing/Pulling: Trays on dollies requiring up to 7.5 lbs force. Climbing: Infrequent stairs or ladder use; up to five flights during delivery. Stooping/Bending: Continuous brief periods (30–45 seconds) at assembly station. Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas. Driving: Deliver pizzas within designated area; multiple deliveries per shift. Hand Tasks: Eye‑hand coordination; frequent use of forearms, wrists; manipulate pizza peel, cutter, boxes. Tools/Equipment: Use of pencils, pens, computers, phones, calculators, TDD, cutter, peel. Driving Specific Job Duties Deliver product by car to customer door. Deliver flyers and door hangers.
