Requirement/Must Have:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Phlebotomy experience is required, including internship or externship experience to learn the basics.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of client-facing customer service experience is required.
- Keyboard and data entry experience is required.
- Ability to perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
- High level of customer service skills are required.
- Willingness to work both in the lobby and in a draw room with patients to assist with coverage.
- Greet patients upon arrival and address questions or concerns with care and compassion.
- Maintain the integrity and professional environment of the waiting area.
- Assist with patient check-ins in the lobby using a self-service kiosk or handheld tablet.
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients and the public.
- Provide coverage for phlebotomy breaks and staffing shortages as needed.
- Explain scheduled procedures to patients in a safe and accurate manner to create an atmosphere of trust.
