Make an immediate impact supporting students and schools as a Physical Therapist in a dynamic K-12 educational environment. This contract opportunity offers flexibility for both full-time or multiple part-time professionals who are passionate about enhancing students’ mobility, independence, and participation in school life. You'll work on-site, collaborating alongside an experienced team to provide a mix of direct and indirect services to a diverse, energetic student population.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Florida Physical Therapist license required
• School-based experience is highly preferred but not mandatory
• Ability to manage an itinerant caseload traveling between 2-3 schools daily within a designated group of 35 campuses
• Experience working with K-12 and Pre-K students is desirable
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Your Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments, develop individualized therapy plans, and deliver interventions for students with diverse physical needs
• Document evaluations, progress reports, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
• Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, families, and other professionals to maximize student outcomes
• Provide adaptations, support, and training for staff to integrate therapy goals into daily classroom routines
• Travel between assigned schools each day, ensuring consistent, accessible service delivery

Additional Details:

• Start as soon as possible, with the potential to extend through the end of the academic year depending on vacancy
• Full-time schedule: 7:30am – 4:00pm (40 hours/week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
• Part-time candidates are also welcome (2-3 professionals may be hired to meet full-time needs)
• Direct and indirect services for a caseload of roughly 94 students, shared with another PT and a PTA
• Active interviews will begin September 16, 2026
• Onboarding and credentialing handled directly by the district (time-sensitive)
