Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician supports multiple package-handling facilities across Upstate New York. This role focuses on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of conveyor, mechanical, and industrial electrical systems. You'll work independently across assigned sites and serve as the primary maintenance contact at each location.What You'll DoPerform preventative maintenance on:Conveyor and material-handling systemsElectrical & mechanical equipmentMotor controls and PLC-controlled systemsInspect, service, and repair conveyors (belts, bearings, motors, seals)Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using blueprints & schematicsDiagnose and repair:480V / 3-phase power systemsAC & DC motorsMotor controls and VFDsServe as the primary responder for equipment breakdownsTroubleshoot PLCs and ladder logic (no programming required)Complete light facility tasks (lighting, minor repairs)Use industrial tools safely and follow all site safety proceduresTravel regularly between Syracuse & Binghamton (and within ~2 hours)Document maintenance work and findings clearlyPerform fabrication or welding repairs when neededCollaborate with site teams and remote support staffWhat We're Looking ForRequired3+ years of industrial maintenance experienceHands-on experience with conveyor systemsStrong electrical troubleshooting skillsAbility to read electrical schematics & blueprintsExperience with:480V / 3-phase powerMotor controlsPLC-controlled equipmentStrong preventative maintenance experienceComfortable working independently at customer sitesWilling and able to travel locallyPreferred / PlusFabrication or welding experienceVFD experienceDeeper PLC/ladder logic knowledgeMaterial handling or crane maintenance experienceStrong communication and organization skillsPositive, can-do attitudeWhy Work HereClose-knit, team-oriented cultureCompany truck after initial training (3–4 weeks)Competitive benefits packageOngoing training to grow skills and earningsHigh autonomy and ownership of the Upstate NY marketSee the direct impact of your work every dayWork Environment & ScheduleField-based role supporting multiple facilitiesWork around conveyors, PLCs, motors, and industrial electrical systemsTypical schedule: 4×10s (Mon–Thu) when possibleFridays as needed for PMs or repairsPreventative work planned during core hoursRepair work completed as equipment conditions requireIndustrial attire required (safety-appropriate clothing & footwear)Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Syracuse, NY.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
