Employee Recognition & Rewards: A culture that celebrates and rewards your hard work and dedication We are seeking an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), or Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) to join our team. What You Bring to SBHG (Qualifications) Education: Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related mental health field. (Recently graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply!) Licensure: Registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an Associate (AMFT, ACSW, or APCC). Compliance & Safety: Must be 18 years of age or older. Valid California Driver’s License with a driving record that meets company eligibility policies. First Aid certification from an approved provider (such as the American Red Cross) or the ability to obtain it upon hire. How you will make a difference The Mental Health Specialist assesses clients at start of treatment (reviews as needed), develops and maintains treatment plans, and conducts family collateral and discharge planning. Duties include discussing goals and objectives of proposed treatment plans and establishing a contract with the consumer. Interviewing consumers to team with mental health professionals in determining the needs of individuals or groups on a walk-in/telephone basis; respond to potential suicide or other emergency events. Visit clients, individually or as part of a team, in a variety of living situations, to help assess the mental health needs of individuals and families, observe progress, provide counseling, gather data, and report significant changes in the client's condition to designated professional staff. Division/Program Overview Program: The Valley Star Crisis Walk-In Center (CWIC) is voluntary and offered on a 24/7 basis in an unlocked setting with a stay of up to 23 hours Population Served: All age groups – children, adolescents, adults, and older adults – who need immediate access to crisis mental health services. Facility & Setting: The Valley Star Crisis Walk-In Center (CWIC) is voluntary and offered on a 24/7 basis in an unlocked setting Clinical Services: Rapid mental health assessment and crisis intervention, the center provides important services to those in need of immediate crisis intervention and stabilization Length of Stay: stay of up to 23 hours Skills & Transition: Individuals admitted into the crisis stabilization unit will be provided with support and services to ensure their safe transition to the next level of care or back to the community.
