Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiovascular Interventional Radiologic Technologist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiovascular department, utilizing imaging techniques to support our physicians in treating heart and vascular conditions. - Perform cardiovascular imaging procedures, including angiograms, angioplasty, stent placements, and other interventional procedures.
- Prepare and maintain the imaging equipment and ensure that it is functioning properly.
- Administer contrast agents as directed by the physician and monitor patients for any reactions.
- Work closely with cardiologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely imaging results.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations regarding radiation exposure, patient care, and infection control.
- Provide patient education, explaining procedures and comforting patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging reports for medical review.
- Assist in the development of departmental policies and quality improvement initiatives.
- Associate's degree in radiologic technology or related field.
- Current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (RT(R)) and Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CI).
- Valid state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (if required in the state of practice).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in cardiovascular interventional radiology preferred.
- Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, imaging techniques, and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
