Job Description
Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

Schedule

4 shifts per week, 9 hours per shift (06:30 - 15:30).

Assignment Details

Contract length: 36 hours per week. RTO maximum: 7 days. Weekends: 2-3 weekends per contract. Call requirements: 1 weekday call and 1 weekend call per 6-week schedule.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience; first-timers accepted.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
• Experience with ERCP, including Spy Glass, Bronchoscopy, EBUS Procedures, Colonoscopy, and Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD).
• Unit systems: Pyxis, Epic.
• Average daily census: 20 patients, with a ratio of 1:2; 3 rooms and 11 beds.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the endoscopy unit.
• Assist with procedures such as ERCP and EGD.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions during procedures and recovery.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and post-operative care.
