Sunrise Lofts Resident Assistant

General Responsibility and Authority

The resident assistant lives onsite and supports residents in acclimatizing to the community encourages and mentors residents in their journey toward self-sufficiency, and promotes harmony in relationships among residents and between residents and property management and resident services staff..

Specific Responsibilities

• Listens to any concerns or issues residents may have and communicates these to leadership.
• Prepares for and participates in residents' first week onsite, including creating activities to engage new residents, and conducting an orientation for them to the community.
• Helps residents stay informed about activities and opportunities to encourage resident engagement.
• Addresses any concerns residents may have with other residents and acts as a moderator to solve any problems.
• Stays up to date with property rules to ensure residents are following them at all times.
• Holds regular meetings with the residents they oversee and plans fun, engaging activities to help residents connect.
• Services and maintains a list of available services.
• Identifies needed community.
• Acts as community liaison for specified activities.
