About Us
VacRock NY Inc. is a growing HVAC contractor based in Brooklyn, delivering a Premium high-quality service and a strong customer experience across New York City.
We’re looking for a skilled, reliable HVAC Technician with experience in service/repair, installation, or both to service NEW YORK CITY area
Compensation
$35–$50/hr (based on experience & skill level) Growth opportunities for strong performers
Responsibilities
For Service / Repair Tech
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems (residential & light commercial)
- Perform maintenance and inspections
- Test system performance (airflow, temps, electrical, refrigerant)
For Installation Tech
- Install HVAC systems per plans and manufacturer specs
- Run piping, line sets, drainage, and supports
- Assist with startup, commissioning, and final checks
General
- Communicate with customers and office team
- Complete service reports, photos, and notes
- Maintain clean, safe job sites
Requirements Core Requirements
- EPA 608 Universal Certification
- Valid driver’s license + clean record
- Strong troubleshooting or installation skills
- Professional, reliable, and organized
Service Techs
- Strong understanding of refrigeration cycle
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and manuals
- Ability to properly evaluate superheat and subcooling
- Knowledge of heat pump operation (heating & cooling modes)
- Understanding of system charging methods (weigh-in, PT charts, etc.)
Install Techs
- Experience installing HVAC systems
- Ability to read drawings and install per specs
Bonus (Not Required)
- OSHA 10/30
- VRF / Mini-split experience
- Commercial refrigeration experience
- Ability to run jobs or lead helpers
- NYC job site experience
