Network Architect

Role: Sr Network Architect (CISCO)

Work Environment: On-site 5x week

Technical requirements:

• Can design & implement (this experience is key)
  • SDA (Cisco Software Defined Access)
  • DNA Center
  • ISE
  • ACI
• Infoblox and F5 is less of a focus less than 5%.

Notes:

• Legacy 10-year-old environment where they are migrating to SDA catalyst center that is integrated with ISE. Their Data Center backbone is ACI.
• Ask any and all candidates if they have ever been considered or submitted for this opportunity since it has been hard to find someone.
  • This looks to be a miss to me. Looks like he might be good for the Cisco ACI piece in the data center, but not even close on the Cisco SDA. I think people leverage the fact that they have experience with Cisco's centralized management platform Catalyst Center (formerly DNA Center), but I see no indication that they have experience with the interworking of Cisco SDA.
  • The candidate did not have any ACI experience or ISE experience or DNA experience once we got into the interview. His resume made us think he did.
