Job Summary and Qualifications

This position supports the mission of HealthONE/HCA of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical care to meet the needs of the whole person. The Medical Center of Aurora expects our core values to be reflected in the way every employee interacts with co-workers, patients and family members, and with others in the community. Manages the front desk, which includes greeting patients, registering patients, entering requisitions, answering phones, burning CD's and faxing reports. Coordinates with physician offices and radiologists to schedule patients. Completes all paperwork and provides proper instruction to patients for scheduled exams. Provides clerical support for the technologists, and radiology administration, as necessary. Coordinates special projects as assigned. Provides an excellent experience for patients and visitors, physicians and staff. Assists in the completion of department assignments. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

What qualifications you will need:

• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
• High school graduate or equivalent required
• Previous customer service and secretarial experience preferred
• Advanced computer skills preferred. Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of PC based computer skills, i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and/or similar systems preferred. General knowledge of legal procedures/practices. Spelling, grammar, and verbal communication and written composition skills. Customer service skills.
