What You Will Be Doing

• Performing thorough evaluations of patients, ordering necessary tests, and creating tailored care strategies
• Diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in conjunction with physicians or independently based on your credentials
• Providing guidance to patients and families on preventive health, wellness, and managing illnesses
• Prescribing medications and therapies in line with your practice's scope
• Engaging in patient follow-ups and managing chronic care
• Working collaboratively with diverse teams to provide comprehensive and patient-focused care
• Keeping meticulous and precise electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree
• Completion of a credentialed Nurse Practitioner program

Required Licenses and Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Alabama
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, or ability to acquire them within 90 days
