The New Orleans School of Cooking is looking for an experienced retail sales associate. Ideal candidate should have an outgoing personality to easily engage with customers, enjoy working in the French Quarter, have a passion for food, cooking, ingredients, cooking tools and gadgets, be a team player and a leader.
As a Sales and Service Representative in the Retail industry, you'll be responsible for providing top-notch customer service to shoppers. This job description involves managing customer inquiries, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized store. Your goal will be to create a positive shopping experience for customers, so they keep coming back.
A Sales and Service Representative must be highly skilled in communication and problem-solving. You should also be able to work under pressure and handle customer complaints with poise. Other responsibilities include keeping track of inventory, stocking shelves, and ensuring that store displays are eye-catching.

Duties and Responsibilities:- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner.
- Sampling of products to customers
- Sell Cooking classes by explaining types of classes and highlights of each type of class.
- Sell products and services by identifying customer needs and matching them with suitable products or services.
- Maintain knowledge of products and services and stay up to date with the ingredients used in our classes.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including handling cash and credit card payments.
- Handle customer complaints and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Keep the store clean and organized, including stocking shelves and pricing merchandise.
- Promote sales and special promotions to customers to increase sales revenue.
- Create and maintain product, cooking tools and gadget displays.
- Participate in staff training and professional development activities to improve job performance.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety and security rules.
