Phlebotomist PositionThis is an opportunity for a contract position with potential for permanent status.Position: PhlebotomistLocation: Gastonia, NCSchedule: 8am-5pm Monday-FridayEstimated duration: 3 months with potential for permanent hireEmployee benefits are availableAt least 1 year of previous experience requiredThe primary role of a blood draw specialist is to assist with various assigned tasks, provide training, troubleshoot issues, and offer recommendations for workflow improvement.Responsibilities: Proficient in blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, record maintenance, decontamination, updating patient records, etc. Properly explain the venipuncture process and other specimen collections. Demonstrate technique with straight needles and butterfly needles. Understand physician orders, match requisition forms to specimen tubes, label specimens correctly, package for transport, and ensure compliance with regulations.Minimum Requirements: Valid state Phlebotomy certification, 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced setting, proficiency in Microsoft Office, High School Diploma or GED, and at least 1 year of experience.
