Diesel Service Technician/Mechanic (Advance)

Please come join our team!The Advanced Technician/Mechanic is responsible for performing complex diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicles and equipment to manufacturer and company standards. This role requires in-depth technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor and support junior technicians. The Advanced Technician ensures quality workmanship, safety compliance, and efficient workflow within the service department while maintaining strong communication with service advisors, customers, and team members.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Completion of advanced vocational, technical, or trade school training in automotive, diesel, or heavy equipment technology preferred.Minimum of 2- 5 years of progressive hands-on experience in vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and complex repairs in a dealership, commercial fleet, or heavy-duty service environment preferred.Demonstrated experience mentoring or training junior technicians is preferred.Valid driver’s license required.Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master Technician certification or equivalent preferred.OEM-specific certifications (e.g., Diesel Engines) preferred.Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or ability to obtain one is preferred.Technical ProficiencyAdvanced diagnostic skills with proficiency in using electronic diagnostic tools and manufacturer software.Strong ability to interpret complex wiring diagrams, technical bulletins, and repair manuals.Other RequirementsAbility to work independently and provide technical leadership to others.Must meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy parts and working in confined spaces.Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or on-call as required.
