Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse in a short-term acute care facility. This role involves floating across various units to provide high-quality patient care for adult and geriatric populations, including complex assessments and timely interventions. The position requires adaptability to diverse clinical environments and collaboration within an interdisciplinary team.

Job Details

• Position Description: 0NBOPCU/Step down Float Registered Nurse, 12-hour shifts, days, starting ASAP. The role involves providing care to a varied patient population, including ER boarded patients, telemetry, and medical-surgical units, with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6, depending on acuity. May include charge responsibilities on small units where the sole RN manages staffing, bed flow, and general coordination.
• Required Qualifications: Valid State License (Compact license must be in hand at submission), at least 3 years of experience in the specialty, experience in the US, and minimum 1-year clinical experience.
• Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, 48 hours per week.
• Skills: Cardiac telemetry, ventilated patient care, Central line care, Chest tubes, Blood product administration, IV therapy, management of dysrhythmias, Pre/Post cardiac procedures, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Wound Care, Tracheostomy care, and other ICU/PCU-specific skills.
• Additional Information: Must have experience in the US, be willing to work 3 of 5 holidays, and submit two references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) prior to start. May be required to float between sister facilities; refusal to float may result in contract termination. Candidate responses to specific submitted questions are required during application.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates should not contact facility directly unless scheduled via communication from the recruiter. Modules and compliance requirements involve pre-start and annual training, with an average of 16 hours spent on modules.
