Assistant Controller

About the Company Our client is a global alternative asset manager specializing in multi‑strategy investing, focusing on areas such as credit, real estate, and institutional equities. Responsibilities Lead the daily accounting, operations, and financial reporting functions Review property records to ensure proper consolidation in compliance with GAAP Manage the monthly NAV and close process in compliance with reporting deadlines and internal controls Coordinate property consolidation with third‑party administration Manage the preparation of annual and quarterly GAAP financial statements for SEC financial reporting Research and prepare technical accounting memos as needed for new acquisitions and accounting positions Support the valuation process of investment properties Monitor public book trades with internal operations teams to ensure accurate reporting Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting required CPA required 8‑10 years of experience in real estate accounting Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC financial reporting standards Proficient in the application of US GAAP standards and accounting principles related to REITs Familiarity with Workiva preferred Salary Range $160,000‑$180,000 Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Accounting/Auditing and Finance Industries Staffing and Recruiting #J-18808-Ljbffr Arrow Search Partners
