Role Description The Pharmacist Long Term Care, PRN role at MAC Rx of Missouri is a part-time, on-site position based in Maryland Heights, MO. In this role, the pharmacist verifies and dispenses medications for long-term care residents, ensuring accuracy, safety, and adherence to all regulatory requirements. The pharmacist reviews medication orders, checks for drug interactions and appropriate dosing, and provides clinical guidance to facility staff as needed. Daily tasks include overseeing pharmacy technicians, maintaining proper documentation, and participating in quality assurance activities. The pharmacist may also assist with medication regimen reviews, respond to clinical inquiries from long-term care facilities, and support continuous improvement of pharmacy services. Qualifications Active Pharmacist license in the state of Missouri Demonstrated knowledge of long-term care pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, order entry review, and regulatory compliance preferred Clinical expertise in pharmacotherapy for older adults and residents with complex medical needs, including dosing, drug interactions, and monitoring. Strong attention to detail, accuracy in medication verification, and commitment to patient safety and quality care. Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with pharmacy team members, nurses, prescribers, and facility staff. Ability to work part-time, PRN hours on-site in Maryland Heights, MO, including flexibility for evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed. Proficiency with pharmacy information systems, e-prescribing platforms, and basic computer applications. Previous experience in long-term care, institutional, or hospital pharmacy is preferred.
