Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Austin, Texas. This role involves providing specialized care in a new Women's Tower NICU, housed on floors 6 and 7, with a capacity of 84 beds in a private room model. The unit maintains an average census from mid 40's to mid 50's and employs a charge, resource, patient care technician (PCT), and milk technician support model. Navy blue scrubs are required, and there is no floating outside of the NICU. Experience between 1-2 years is recommended.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited nursing program, valid RN license in the state of Texas, 1-2 years of relevant neonatal intensive care experience, current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cerner electronic medical records system, prior experience in a private room NICU setting, and familiarity with charge and resource roles.
• Additional Information: The NICU is housed in a modern facility with a private room model and a support team including PCTs and milk technicians. Staff are expected to adhere to hospital policies and maintain a focused, patient-centered approach in a high-acuity environment.
