Program Coordinator, National Security Studies and Executive Education Ready to launch your national security career in D.C.? Core Responsibilities Coordinate logistical and administrative aspects of executive education programs (in‑person, hybrid, and online) as required. Manage room bookings, catering, travel, and other logistics for course delivery. Support communications and recruitment efforts related to NSSP and other executive education programs, including website updates, newsletters, outreach emails, social media, presentations, and other promotional materials. Assist the director and assistant dean with marketing research for new programs, and outreach to new institutional clients. Specific Responsibilities Primary Operational Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact for program inquiries. Guide senior‑level participants through enrollment, answer day‑to‑day questions from faculty and staff, and ensure a premier experience for all stakeholders. Events & Course Coordination: Handle the “run of show” by providing event planning and logistical support for our programs. Senior Manager Course in National Security Leadership: two‑week strategic courses for top‑tier executives. Foundations of National Security Leadership: one‑week intensive seminars for mid‑career leaders. Duties include: Managing classroom logistics, coordinating site visits around D.C., and facilitating guest speaker communications and logistics. Administrative & Budget Support: Assist with tracking expenditures, processing payments/reimbursements, paying honorariums, maintaining records, coordinating vendor contracts, and preparing reports. Minimum Qualifications Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/GED plus 3 years of relevant professional experience, or a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Preferred Qualifications Exceptional Organizational Rigor: A precision‑driven coordinator of timelines and logistics who takes pride in “owning the details” and ensuring every task is executed with total accuracy. Operational Execution: A highly productive multitasker who can manage day‑to‑day academic office operations and create a welcoming environment. Professional Presence: The ability to communicate with clarity and composure when working with senior academic leaders, military, or government officials. Digital & Outreach Competency: Practical experience running email campaigns, managing social media, and keeping web content sharp. Administrative Tech Fluency: Proficiency in everyday essentials like MS 365 (Excel/PowerPoint) and Google Workspace, with the readiness to master our learning platforms and databases.
