Senior Accountant

Compensation: $75,000-$90,000 Full-time; Direct Hire Overview We’re partnering with a mission-driven organization to add a Senior Accountant to a collaborative finance team. This role offers a blend of hands‑on accounting, financial oversight, and cross‑functional partnership supporting a portfolio of operational projects. This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys owning financials end‑to‑end, working through complexity, and contributing to process improvements in a team‑oriented environment. What You’ll Do Manage core accounting activities including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations Oversee monthly and quarterly close processes for assigned areas Prepare and analyze financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) Perform variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance Maintain accuracy of the general ledger and ensure alignment with accounting standards Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and improve financial visibility Support and/or lead audit‑related activities, including preparation of schedules and documentation Assist with cash management and balance sheet oversight Contribute to process improvements and internal controls Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities as needed What They’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting CPA/eligibility is a plus 2+ years of accounting experience (public or industry) Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting Experience with account reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation Exposure to audit (public accounting or industry) preferred Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with financial systems Ability to analyze issues, think critically, and communicate clearly Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities Benefits include health, dental, vision, paid time off, holidays, retirement plan, and more #J-18808-Ljbffr
