Freight Dock Worker

Location: Grapevine, TX
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Pay: $20.00/hour + DOE (Depending on Experience)
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire

Job Summary

We are seeking dependable and hardworking Freight Dock Workers to join a fast-paced logistics team. This position is responsible for safely loading, unloading, organizing, and moving freight throughout the warehouse and cross-dock environment while ensuring all shipments are handled accurately and without damage. Candidates must be safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a physically demanding environment.

Essential Job Duties

Load and unload freight from trailers safely and efficiently.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
Stack, unstack, stage, and organize freight for shipping and receiving.
Secure shipments using load bars, straps, dunnage, and other load-securing materials.
Read shipping labels, manifests, and bills of lading to verify shipment accuracy.
Inspect incoming and outgoing freight for damage and report discrepancies.
Measure, weigh, and document freight as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
Work as part of a team to meet daily production and shipping goals.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous freight dock, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or logistics experience preferred.
Forklift experience is preferred; certification is a plus or the ability to successfully complete company forklift training.
Ability to read shipping documents and follow written instructions.
Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment..
