Hybrid 3 days - Glenview/Deerfield, IL area

$70k-$85k

LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with the manufacturer of consumer products to hire a Sales Analyst to support the sales team with retail sales by providing detailed analysis reporting and insights. We're looking for someone with a combination of analytics + retail/customer knowledge + business storytelling + stakeholder communication.

In this role, you'll play an integral part in tracking sales trends, identifying opportunities for growth, and improving sales strategies by using data-driven insights. You will interface regularly with demand planning, sales, and various business functions. You should be able to create executive summaries, identify trends, explain what the data is saying, and help influence business decisions.

What's Required
- Bachelor's degree
- 1-3 years of experience in sales planning, sales analytics, customer analytics exposure
- Retail, CPG (consumer goods), sales planning, trade marketing, category management, or customer analytics exposure
- Understanding of large retailer dynamics
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills
- Proficient in Excel working with large data sets and data analysis tools (i.e. Power BI or Tableau)
- PowerPoint and executive presentation
- Able to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
- Proactive, collaborative, and curious personality traits
- Ability to travel on occasion for customer meetings and events

Daily Functions
- Track, analyze and develop reports providing key insights into sales performance, KPIs, and other key metrics to assess effectiveness of sale strategies
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis that supports specific sales initiatives, product launches, or promotions
- Use and leverage analytics to develop/implement sales strategies geared to promote growth, market share, and profitability
- Work with Sales team to plan/execute sales-driven promotions and price changes
- Track promotional calendar, assessing performance and suggesting improvements
- Help manage and track gross-to-net budget
- Keep your finger on the pulse of competitor activities, consumer trends and industry developments
- Leverage data to identify growth opportunities and potential risks
- Partner with demand planning and sales teams to provide sales forecast input to ensure accurate sales projections across product categories and regions
- Monitor sales performance and provide feedback to teams on forecast adjustments to meet changing market conditions and retail activities
- Coordinate with internal teams across marketing, supply chain and finance to ensure alignment of sales targets, promotional planning, and inventory needs
- Provide analytical support to sales and leadership to help with decision making and strategic planning
- Routinely assess sales processes and tools to identify areas for efficiency gain
- Aid in the development of new reporting methods and sales processes to enhance productivity and accuracy

Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
