Payroll Specialist

Job Description The Payroll Specialist is a full-time, on-site position based in Fremont, Ohio. This role is responsible for accurately processing payroll for employees, including calculating wages, overtime, deductions, and benefits, while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining payroll records, updating employee information, handling payroll-related inquiries, and coordinating any changes in compensation for employees. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in payroll processing, including wage calculations, deductions, and benefits administration. Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations, tax withholding requirements, and compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines. Proficiency with payroll software/systems, as well as strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other office tools. Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to reconcile data, identify discrepancies, and maintain accurate records. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple deadlines and maintain consistent payroll cycles. Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain payroll information and collaborate with cross-functional teams. High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential employee information and sensitive financial data. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Prior experience in a payroll or accounting role, ideally within a fast-paced or project-focused environment. Professional certifications such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) are a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
