Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Little Rock, Arkansas. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Medical Surgical (MS) Nurse Night Shifts, in the healthcare provider setting. This position involves providing patient care in a diverse unit with a ratio of 6:1, covering various surgical and medical diagnoses including diabetes, heart disease, COPD, kidney, and gastrointestinal conditions. The role requires cross-unit flexibility and adherence to clinical standards. Job Details Required Qualifications: BLS (American Heart Association); Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; Licensure to submit, with a specialty in Medical Surgical Floor; location requirements: within commuting distance; schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours, requiring 48 hours per week, starting 09/21/2026 and ending 12/21/2026. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in surgical services such as colorectal, hepatobiliary, bariatric, general, or orthopedic surgeries; prior travel experience preferred. Responsibilities: Provide patient care in a Medical Surgical Unit, manage patients with conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, COPD, kidney, and gastrointestinal issues; work with nurses and charge nurses to ensure quality care; respond to the needs of patients and assist with documentation using Cerner (transitioning to EPIC). Certifications: BLS (AHA) required. Schedule: Night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.; shifts assigned based on unit needs; every other weekend. Additional Information: Float rotation may be required to other medical-surgical pods as needed; the unit is a Level 2 Trauma setting; responsibilities include troubleshooting remote telemonitoring equipment; no tele-health duties or titrating drips.
