Accounting specialist

We are currently partnered with a reputable medical company in the Middletown, RI area searching for an Accounting Specialist or a Staff Accountant. Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience working in QuickBooks and performing Payroll in ADP. This is a direct hire opportunity paying 70-75k. Responsibilities

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of the organization using QuickBooks. The primary responsibilities include full-cycle accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), cash receipts processing, general ledger maintenance, vendor contract administration, and the timely generation of monthly financial statements. Additionally, this role oversees end-to-end payroll processing and management utilizing ADP.

Additional responsibilities include coordinating the year-end audit, managing external reporting, handling cash management, and maintaining banking relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Receivable (AR) & Revenue: Process cash receipts, manage billing processes, and ensure accurate tracking of incoming funds.
• Accounts Payable (AP) & Vendor Management: Oversee vendor contract administration, review invoices, and manage timely disbursements in QuickBooks.
• Payroll Administration: Serve as the primary owner for processing and managing payroll end-to-end through ADP, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Financial Reporting: Maintain the QuickBooks general ledger and generate comprehensive monthly financial statements.
• Audit & Cash Management: Coordinate the year-end audit, manage external financial reporting, and oversee cash management and banking relationships.
