Robert Half is partnering with a growing organization in the Cedar Rapids area to find a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions while maintaining accurate financial records in QuickBooks.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Perform credit card and bank reconciliations on a regular basis
• Maintain and update financial records within QuickBooks
• Assist with month-end close activities , including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Support reporting needs and ensure data accuracy across the general ledger
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience, with exposure to AP and AR
• Proficiency in QuickBooks a plus
• Strong reconciliation experience (credit cards, bank accounts, etc.)
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
