As a Lactation Consultant you will be educating and supporting new moms while they are an inpatient and will continue the support by calling patients within a month of discharge to ensure all of the patient's needs have been met. You will serve as an Educator/Consultant to nurses and other healthcare professionals within the Women's and Children service line when additional interventions are identified for the patient. Position Lactation Consultant Shift 20 hours per week, evening shift and every other Saturday day shift. Holidays rotational based on need. Experience Minimum of 2 years' experience providing healthcare and /or education in Women's Health preferred. Education Knowledge of fetal, newborn, and maternal anatomy/physiology. Bachelor's Degree in related discipline preferred. Licensures/Certifications Current RN License preferred OR a multi-state license verified in one of the approved states through the Nursing Licensure Compact. Certification with the International Board Lactation Consultants Examiners required.
