Insurance Verification Specialist

My client, Digitech Computer, is seeking an InsuranceVerification Specialist with knowledge of Medical Billing to research patient and insurance records to ensure completeness and accuracy of information prior to coding claims.Find out more about this role by reading the information below, then apply to be considered.This is a full time, direct hire 100% remote opportunity. Digitech leverages its proprietary technology to offer fully outsourced services that maximize collections, protect compliance, and deliver results for clients.The Verification Specialist is responsible for researching patient and insurance records for our clients' EMS (ambulance) patients. You will receive EMS patient care reports and verify that all necessary information is received and recorded prior to coding claims. You must enjoy searching for information, working on deadlines, and able to multi-task.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Receive all patient care reports (PCRs) for assigned clients and process in a timely mannerGather/find insurance information, and verify information in our files; verify insurance is valid for date of serviceVerify name, date of birth, and address for each patient, and doing the due diligence to find the aforementioned information if it not present.Perform other assigned duties as requested by Department ManagerSkills/Experience Required:Experience working with medical claims and medical insurance, EMS experience is a plusAbility to multi-taskFocused; ability to work independentlyCollaborative team player; able to work with clients, external parties and internal departmentsPleasant and professional demeanorAble to handle pressure and always maintain composureComputer literacy; able to work two monitorsStrong follow-throughStrong attention to detailGood grammarAbility to work on deadlinesPunctualDependableQuick learner; good note taker during trainingAccountable for your workComfortable asking questionsThe expected pay for this position is $18-20/hr., dependent on experience.This is an ongoing pipeline posting, and applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.Sarnova is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
