This position is essential for ensuring that all areas are kept in optimal condition, which directly impacts the efficiency and productivity of our operations. The Custodian will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks that contribute to the overall health and safety of our workplace. By adhering to safety rules and protocols, the Custodian helps to create a welcoming atmosphere for both employees and visitors. Ultimately, this role supports the company's commitment to quality and excellence in all aspects of our operations. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and cleaning instructions. Experience in janitorial duties or a similar role. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a manufacturing environment. Basic knowledge of safety regulations and procedures. Responsibilities: Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing various areas of the facility. Follow oral and written instructions to ensure compliance with safety and cleaning protocols. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to the supervisor. Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify areas that require additional cleaning or maintenance. Assist in setting up and taking down equipment for special events or meetings as needed. Skills: The required skills for this position, such as balancing and performing repetitive motions, are essential for executing cleaning tasks efficiently and safely. The ability to read and interpret documents ensures that the Custodian can follow safety rules and cleaning protocols accurately. Skills in basic arithmetic, such as adding and subtracting two-digit numbers, may be utilized for inventory management and supply ordering. Additionally, the physical skills of reaching with hands and arms, as well as using hands and fingers for detailed cleaning tasks, are crucial for maintaining cleanliness in all areas of the facility. Preferred skills, such as knowledge of safety regulations, enhance the Custodian's ability to contribute to a safe working environment.
