Title: Controls Project Manager (Building Automation Systems) Location: Houston, TX Salary: $110-130k Sponsorship: No sponsorship available Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance Retirement plan options Ongoing training and professional development opportunities Paid time off Job Summary The Controls Project Manager is responsible for managing Building Automation System (BAS) projects from initial concept through completion. This role plays a key part in driving the growth of the controls department by overseeing project execution, supporting sales efforts, and ensuring successful delivery of multiple concurrent projects. Key Responsibilities Lead project teams to achieve departmental and organizational goals, including financial performance Manage BAS projects from conceptualization through completion Identify and elevate project issues in a timely manner Estimate and support the sale of BAS construction projects and change orders Develop accurate cost estimates for materials, equipment, and labor Coordinate materials, manpower, and schedules for assigned projects Collaborate with internal teams and divisions to ensure project alignment and efficiency Participate in sales meetings and assist with client engagement as needed Facilitate and attend project meetings throughout the project lifecycle Maintain active involvement in relevant professional and industry organizations Qualifications Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS) Experience with control systems such as Automated Logic, Siemens Desigo, Distech Controls, or Tridium/Niagara Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and leadership skills Proven ability to manage multiple projects and client relationships simultaneously Excellent time management and organizational skills Hands‑on experience with HVAC systems, electrical systems, building automation/controls, boilers, air conditioning, and/or chillers 3–5 years of experience in energy management, building commissioning, and/or system diagnostics and troubleshooting Work Environment & Expectations Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment Strong communication and coordination skills across cross‑functional teams Commitment to delivering high‑quality project outcomes and client satisfaction Equal Opportunity Statement This organization is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing a workplace free from discrimination and harassment.
