Staff Engineer DevOps (Western Union, LLC, Denver, CO)

Plan, design, implement and maintain deployment of enterprise-wide cloud-based and on-prem payment platform. Implement knowledge of cloud and other architecture disciplines including application, database, and infrastructure. Work with engineering, cloud-ops, and enterprise architecture teams to define and build out complex solutions driving value through business process simplification, automation and new product capabilities and innovations. Support a research and development function within the team to explore new and innovative technology solutions. Provide engineering studies and make recommendation to enhance Cloud platform. Salary: $152,069 - $179,688 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Applications, Information Technology, or a related field, plus 5 years of professional experience as a Software Developer, Systems Engineer, or any occupation/position/job title involving DevOps engineering.

Must also have experience in the following: 5 years of professional experience working on public cloud (including AWS or Google); 5 years of professional experience designing and managing the release pipeline in cloud and on-premises using hybrid enterprise platform; 5 years of professional experience utilizing API, GIT flows, and microservices architecture; 5 years of professional experience working with JAVA/J2EE technologies; 5 years of professional experience with SAFe Agile framework methodologies using CI (Continuous Integration)/CD (Continuous Delivery) and maintaining high availability production and non-production systems; 3 years of professional experience utilizing DevOps tools including Jenkins, Ansible, Fargate, Docker, and Kubernetes to drive continuous process improvements; and 3 years of professional experience working with infrastructure design concepts, capacity planning and cloud technologies as well as communicating and evangelizing those concepts to internal stakeholders and external partners.

Annual base salary gross: $152,069 - $179,688 USD. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the Western Union salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role.
