Job Title: Furniture Installer Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Furniture Installer who is skilled in assembling and installing commercial furniture, including desks, chairs, cabinets, panels, and modular systems to meet client standards. The role involves loading and unloading trucks safely using blankets, padding, and securement methods to prevent damage, and optimizing truck space. You will also install specialty items such as artwork, window coverings, and additional fixtures as required.
Responsibilities- Assemble and install commercial furniture according to standards and client requirements.
- Load and unload trucks safely using blankets, padding, and securement methods.
- Mount artwork, window coverings, and additional fixtures as needed.
- Support relocation activities by moving boxes, filing cabinets, and furniture components.
- Perform quality checks to ensure all assembled items are defect-free and stable.
- Communicate with project leadership to provide updates and coordinate tasks.
- Prepare and clean workspaces to maintain a clean, safe environment.
- Disassemble and relocate furniture, breaking down components and transporting them.
- Operate hand tools for assembly, adjustments, and field repairs.
- Expertise in commercial furniture assembly including desks, panels, chairs, cabinets, and modular components.
- Skilled in installation and relocation execution with precision and care.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 75% of the time.
- Competency in using hand tools for assembly, disassembly, adjustments, and field modifications.
- Physical stamina for regular lifting, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
- Professional communication skills for interacting with clients, leads, and team members.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Clean driving record.
- Positive, customer-focused attitude.
- Team-oriented mindset.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently.
- Ability to kneel, bend, reach, push, and pull.

Work EnvironmentWork 1st shift from 7am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday, with weekends on a volunteer basis planned 30 days ahead. Be part of a customer-focused environment committed to completing projects on budget, on time, and with minimal hassle or disruption.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Des Moines, IA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
