Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience worked in the last 12 months.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Paragon is preferred.

• 12 months of acute care experience.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - LifePoint Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - 1 year minimum with at least 1 travel assignment completed. - Must be able to start IVs, insert Foley catheters, and insert NG tubes. - Experience performing EKGs and managing heparin drips.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Experience with 1:6 patient ratio, with high turnover.

Shift & Scheduling: - Weekends as needed. - Call requirements: none.

Floating Requirements: - Rare and unlikely; may need to float to inpatient rehab or ER to task.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
